After a long hiatus, the Gudebrod Thread Company is coming back. We were able to have a conversation with the great grandson who is reviving the thread company. Gudebrod was the standard in rod building thread for decades. For financial reasons, they closed the factory in August 2010 but now we are super pleased to find out the they are returning to the thread market. Gudebrod should be up and running sometime this April and we expect delivery soon thereafter. We will certainly be posting any news we find.

Gudebrod thread was so far superior in rod building that the other competitors were not even close in quality and craftsmanship. Other rod wrapping threads are okay but to have the Gudebrod brand back into the market is great news, and nothing short of awesome!
